In the Inverted Classroom, students independently acquire fundamental learning content before a course, allowing for deeper exploration of the topic during the session. Various digital tools can be helpful in structuring this initially unfamiliar concept for both sides.

In a small group discussion, we will discuss how you can begin implementing the Inverted Classroom in your course and specifically examine how you can structure the online phase using self-learning modules and tests in ILIAS and align it with the in-person session.

The exchange sessions will take place multiple times, and you can register for one of the two-hour sessions listed below.

Important: If you wish to attend one of the sessions, please complete the learning module "Inverted Classroom" before then. You can find the learning module in the Stud.IP Course Inverted Classroom (password: flipped, duration: approx. 45 minutes).

We can also clarify any questions about the learning module during the session.

Subsequently, the Mediacast 2 plugin in Stud.IP is introduced, and the procedure for uploading media files is explained.

We have redesigned the Camtasia workshops and now offer you a flexible concept that can be completed independently of time and location. With this new implementation, you can learn to use the Camtasia software independently using our prepared learning materials. If needed, we are happy to offer you an online office hour (approximately 1 hour) on request, where we can answer your open questions.

Below, we have listed the new procedure step by step for you. Please ensure that you have completed steps 2 & 3 before your online office hour (if you have scheduled one).

Step 1. Work through the learning module "Use of Videos in Teaching" if you want to learn about the theoretical foundations of creating teaching/learning videos. If you are already familiar with this or have no interest, you can skip this step. The learning module is located in the Stud.IP Course "Use of Videos in Teaching".

Step 2. Watch the video tutorials on recording with Camtasia.

  • Recording of slide/screencasts with Camtasia in .avi format
  • Recording of slide/screencasts with Camtasia in .trec format

Step 3. Watch the training video "Video Post-Production with Camtasia".

All video tutorials mentioned in steps 2 & 3 can be found in the Stud.IP course "Use of Videos in Teaching" under the "Media" tab.

Make sure you have installed a trial version of the Camtasia software (2019 & 2020) on your computer so you can practice the presented steps simultaneously while watching the videos.

Please contact us if you would like to schedule an online office hour with us.

We wish you lots of fun!

Diverse & Workshops

The main goal of the E-Assistant program is to train students and student assistants interested in digital learning and teaching. Thus, students can support teaching and instructors in using e-learning offerings while simultaneously acquiring new competencies in digital learning and teaching, which are required in the future workplace. The trained E-Assistants can be further employed by institutes and faculties as student assistants to develop innovative ideas and carry out further e-learning projects.
