The direct funding of our doctoral students is an important focus of our work. Our aim is to support doctoral students in their professional development and in the establishment of academic networks through short-term scholarships and grants.
The Board of Directors decides on the awarding of scholarships and grants four times a year in a competitive selection process. Each year, the Christian Gottlob Heyne Prize is also awarded for the best dissertation in the humanities from the previous academic year.
The number of scholarships awarded per quarter and the amount of grants awarded are based on the budget situation.
