Prof Dr. Andrea D. Bührmann is the director of the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute. She is the author of numerous research- and practice-related publications.  
In recent years, Andrea D. Bührmann has been working on the following topics:


  • Sociology of diversity and gender relations (diversity and gender studies)
  • Sociology of work and economic sociology / Changes in work and its organisational structures, entrepreneurship research
  • Methodology and methods of (qualitative) empirical social research, especially practice research and research on (social) practices
  • Sociology of knowledge, particularly studying transformations of knowledge production and consulting
