Dr. Ahmad Azhar


Ahmad Azhar joined CeMIS in 2009, where he completed a PhD in 2014. Entitled "Crossing the Tracks: Railway workers and the terrain of popular politics in late colonial Lahore, c. 1919-47", it explored plebeian politics of Lahore between the two world wars, focusing especially on railway workshop labour in a DFG funded project.

Prior to completing a MA in History at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the UK, he completed a bachelor in finance at the University of Texas.
