SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by the processes which take place in or between cells and how the network of different pathways and their regulation lead to a complex functioning organism. Therefore, I am highly interested in various biological topics, such as biochemistry, microbiology, genetics and cell biology. So far I have worked with plants and I aim to expand my research focus to microorganisms and cell cultures. Research projects about the role of specific proteins, genes or microorganisms in context of diseases would be quite interesting for me. In general, I look forward to learning new methods and gaining insights in various research topics.
