SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Manipulating life has been a prominent theme during past decades to improve human health and empowering the industry. These methods rely upon interactions at molecular level of the biological systems, thus I am deeply amazed by the effects caused by structural properties, changes and interactions of complex biomolecules. I have a keen interest in protein biochemistry and structural biology as a way to understand these interactions. I am also interested in protein-related phenomena such as prions and protein aggregation in aging, drug targeting, antibody-antigen interactions and antimicrobial strategies, regarding their investigations at molecular level. I hope to develop myself in the field of these structural investigations to obtain a better picture of their mechanics and how to manipulate them as well.
