Inter-/transdisciplinary Projects

Inter- / Transdisciplinary Projects

Inter- / Transdisciplinary Projects represent a central funding priority of the Innovation Pool within the Competence Centre Landscape Resilience. The aim is to promote innovative research approaches on land use and landscape resilience that deliberately cross disciplinary boundaries and address societally relevant questions.

Funding is provided for projects jointly developed by at least two Principal Investigators from different disciplines. At least one of the participating researchers must be affiliated with the University of Göttingen. In addition to interdisciplinary collaboration, the active involvement of external stakeholders from practice, public administration, industry, or civil society is explicitly welcomed. In this way, scientific knowledge is intended to be closely linked to societal needs.

Projects should be oriented towards concrete and visible outcomes, for example in the form of scientific publications, new methods, workshops, or practice-oriented recommendations. The Innovation Pool understands this funding as targeted seed funding to establish new collaborations and prepare larger follow-up projects.

Target group: Research teams with at least two Principal Investigators from different disciplines; at least one participating person must be affiliated with the University of Göttingen
Description: Funding for inter- and transdisciplinary research projects on land use and landscape resilience with a clear scientific and/or societal objective and the planned involvement of external stakeholders

There is currently no open call for Inter- / Transdisciplinary Projects. The next call is expected to be announced in December 2026.
