Myrjam Klemt, M.Sc.

Myrjam Klemt received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, where she specialized in quantitative and qualitative research. She continued her academic career with a Master of Arts in Sociology, with a focus on organizational and economic sociology, and a Master of Science in Development Economics. During her studies, she spent one semester as an exchange student at Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea, supported by a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She also worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Economic Policy and SME Research.

In her current research, Myrjam Klemt is working on energy economics, in particular with a focus on geothermal energy as part of the "WärmeGut" project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. The aim of this project is to propose a comprehensive method for recording the performance of near-surface geothermal energy within the general performance monitoring of heat pumps (in kWh). In her doctoral thesis, she is looking in depth at the behavior of individuals in the context of renewable energy adaptation, with a particular focus on the heat and electricity sectors.

Myrjam Klemt has already gained practical experience in the banking sector, especially in the field of change management at the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) and in consulting for the Sparkassenstiftung in Uganda within the framework of financial cooperation.
