FOR 5522 selects three Start-Up Fellows

Klick for more Information.

We are pleased to announce that our Research Unit has selected three early-career researchers as Start-Up Fellows. They will collaborate with FOR 5522 members on a number of topics: Andreas Elben, Caltech, will work with Markus Heyl and our experimental teams on measurement protocols for accessing local entanglement dynamics in optical lattice systems utilizing the classical shadows technique. Samuel Garratt, UC Berkeley, is interested in developing improved approaches for analyzing large sets of measurement data, which he will pursue with Mari Carmen Bañuls and our experimental teams. Cheryne Jonay, University of Ljubljana, will use minimal models such as quantum circuits to understand the emergence of classical hydrodynamics from the underlying quantum dynamics, in collaboration with Frank Pollmann and other FOR 5522 teams. We will support the Start-Up fellows by hosting them at participating FOR 5522 institutions and at our joint events. Welcome to Andreas, Sam and Cheryne!
