SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
I am immensely interested in immunology and would like to study the different components of immunity in human. Cancer has always intrigued me – it kills so many people worldwide every year and yet there is no effective treatment. I am interested in understanding cancer from an immunological perspective as well as the role of viruses in cancers, with emphasis on the interplay between host immune system and immune evasion by cancers. My ultimate aim is to come up with a novel vaccine strategy.
