Lab Experience
Working with membrane model systems: small unilamellar vesicles, solid supported bilayers, proteoliposomes, Langmuir-Blodgett-films. DNA techniques: purification, Gateway cloning, double enzyme digestion, PCR, gel electrophoresis. Protein techniques: recombinant expression in E.coli, protein purification through Nickel immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography, Western Blot. Other: Cultivation of anaerobic bacteria, confocal laser scanning microscopy, handling metagenomics results, circular dichroism spectroscopy, GUS-staining of transgenic plant material
