Workshop on the Bentresh Stela in October 2014

The so-called Bentresh Stela (Louvre C 284), found in 1828/1829 in a part of the temple complex of Karnak now destroyed, is a pseudo-historical royal monument whose dating has been subject to much discussion.

From October 9-11, 2014 the Institute for Egyptology and Coptic Studies will organise a workshop on this stela in Göttingen with international participation.

Guests are warmly invited to attend, but, due to restrictions of space, are asked to register by writing to: aegypten@uni-goettingen.de.

A detailed programme will appear soon in this space. Please direct any enquiries to: Heike Sternberg-el Hotabi at hsternb@uni-goettingen.de or: Orell Witthuhn at owitthu@uni-goettingen.de.
