Sealing matters

The University of Göttingen has a university seal. This is also used for seal matters of the University of Göttingen Public Law Foundation. A faculty may also use a faculty seal in addition to the university seal.

In Division 82 of the Department Law and Foundation, Ms Poulina Seboldt (821) is responsible for seal matters (procurement, issue, withdrawal, destruction, seal directories) including University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG).

The following binding forms are to be completed and printed out and sent/handed over to Ms Seboldt:

• Seal - Application for Approval of a Faculty Seal


• Seal - Application for appointment of people authorised to / administering seals, change in seal administration, notification of resignation of people authorised to / administering seals


• Seal - Notification of authorisation to seal


• Seal - Confirmation of receipt of a seal

These forms are set up in the form centre of the staff portal, which is accessible to internal staff, under "Seal/form name".
