Während des internationalen Symposiums “Islam and the West: Diversity and Integration“ wurde Prof. Dr. Günther ein Certificate and die Medal of Appreciation in Service of Dialogue between East and West überreicht. Die Auszeichnung verlieh der Großscheich der Al-Azhar Universität und Chair des Muslim Council of Elders in Kairo am 23. Oktober 2018.
