Venue


The venue of the ResEff 2013 is the Historical Building (Historisches Gebäude) of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The location of the venue can be found here:

The talks will be held in three different lecture halls, namely the Pauliner Church (Paulinerkirche), the Alfred-Hessel-Hall (Alfred-Hessel-Saal) and the Lecture Hall (Vortragsraum), all of which can be found in the Historical Building of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Travel details:


  • By train:
  • The station in Göttingen is an ICE-main station, so you can reach the venue using high velocity trains. For a detailed schedule consult the website of Deutsche Bahn. According to Google Maps it is only a walk of nine minutes from the station to the venue.

  • By plane:
  • The nearest airport is located in Hannover, see Hannover Airport. From there you can transfer to the main station of Hannover using a shuttle service or urban trains. From the main station Göttingen is reachable by ICE on a regular schedule in 30-40 minutes, see Deutsche Bahn. According to Google Maps it is only a walk of nine minutes from the station to the venue.

  • By car:
  • From Hannover or Kassel:
    Drive on the autobahn A 7 until exit Göttingen. Turn onto B 3 towards city center until you rech Bürgerstraße. Cross Bürgerstraße and use the parking block in Groner-Tor-Straße, see here.

    From Halle/Leipzig:
    Drive on the autobahn A 38 until Dreieck Drammetal, then turn onto the autobahn A 7 towards Göttingen. Now, follow the route mentioned above.

    From the parking block in Groner-Tor-Straße it is according to Google Maps a walk of only four minutes to the venue.
