Publication in the Journal of Applied Psychology

Tobias Blay and Prof. Dr. Dr. Fabian Froese (Chair of Human Resources Management and Asian Business) have published the research paper "Convergence of Collaborative Behavior in Virtual Teams: The Role of External Crises and Implications for Performance" in the Journal of Applied Psychology. The Journal of Applied Psychology is one of the most renowned and respected journals in management research and is listed in the FT50 ranking (i.e., Financial Times ranking of the top 50 scientific journals in Business Administration).

In their article, the authors, together with Prof. Vasyl Taras (University of North Carolina at Greensboro, USA) and Prof. Marjaana Gunkel (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy), examine collaborative behavior in virtual teams. The study answers questions such as: Do team members become more similar during virtual collaboration, how does that affect team performance, and do external crises influence that process?
