The retreat is an annual fixture and gives all SFB members to discuss about the developments of the previous year and the plans for the following year. This year's retreat was held at the University Conference Center at the Historical Observatory.

Primate Cognitive Neuroscience Summer School
July 28-August 9, Gustav Stresemann Institute, Bad Bevensen
Organizers: Hansjörg Scherberger, Alexander Gail, Igor Kagan, Raymundo Báez-Mendoza and Stefan Treue
The Primate Cognitive Neuroscience Summer School series has been running since 2019 and will now take place for the third time in summer 2024. The Summer School focuses on cognitive processes in sensory and motor neuroscience in primates, with special relevance given to social contexts and decision-making processes. Animal welfare, ethical issues in neuroscientific research on primates and scientific communication will also be covered. In addition to the teaching units, the lecturers are also available for individual discussions on research projects, career development issues and scientific networking. All participants will also present their research on posters. The event is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs with an interest in cognitive and systemic neuroscience with non-human primates. The Summer School is a joint event of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Primate Cognition, the SFB 1528 Cognition of Interaction, and the German Primate Center.  -> Further information and registration
