Welcome to the Website of the Department Vegetation and Phytodiversity Analysis

On the follwing pages we want to present ourselves and the topics of our research and teaching. Our department belonging to the Albrecht-von-Haller-Institute of Plant Science emanated from the Geobotanical Department of the former Systematic-Geobotanical Institute in 1997 and is led by Prof. Dr. Erwin Bergmeier since 2003. Prof. Dr. Hartmut Dierschke, the former professor of the department is still associated with us. Moreover, four research assisstants and PhD students, two part-time employed technical assisstants, two visiting scientists and several students working in the field of biology are associated with the department.
