Key competence module "Cell biology" (6 C, 3 SWS) [M.Bio.343]

Learning outcome: Profound insights into the molecular organisation of cells, cell proliferation, differentiation and cell death as well as the mechanisms of cell communication. Understanding of techniques for the identification, analysis and manipulation of gene functions (e.g. genetic, transgenic und reverse genetic).

Core skills: Planning and execution of molecular biological experiments on cultured cells. Critical analysis of results, scientific presentation and discussion of data. Literature research und critical analysis of this literature.

1. Lecture: "Molecular cell biology" (2 SWS)
2. Seminar: "Topics of molecular cell biology" (1 SWS)

Prerequisite for examination:

  • oral presentation within the seminar (15 min)

  • Examination: written examination (90 minutes)
