Timetable of the M.Sc.-Program

September/October 2014

• Admission to the Program
• Selection of students that are awarded a scholarship

January and February 2015

• German-course in Chile
• The students get a German course for 6-8 weeks. In Chile the course will be offered by the representative of the DAAD in Talca.

February/March - June 2015

• 1.Semester in Chile
• In Chile the Semester starts in March. The students will have to successfully pass at least 5 modules per semester.

June/July 2015

• Selection of the scholars for Germany
• Based on the results of the exams in the first semester, the language skills, an interview and the intercultural competence, an academic committee will select the students who will be awarded with a scholarship for Germany.

June - September 2015

• 2.Semester in Chile
• Second Semester in Chile. Students are expected to pass at least 5 Modules.

October 2015 - March 2016

• Third semester in Germany/Chile
• Some students continue their studies in Germany, other students continue their studies in Talca. During the semester the students also prepare their master-thesis.

April - September 2016

• Field research and master-thesis
• The students conduct a field research with data collection and finish their master-thesis. The studyprogram finishes with a colloquium in which the students have to present and discuss the main results of their thesis.
