Who is eligible for doctoral studies at the faculty of law of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen?
The following prerequisites apply for doctoral studies at the faculty of law of the University of Göttingen:
- University qualification
- Matriculation for doctoral studies
- Passing the first state exam in law at least with "fully satisfactory".

Structured doctoral studies
The faculty of law, social sciences and economic faculty, as well as the faculty of agricultural sciences and the faculty for forestry and forest ecology are founding members of the Göttinger Graduiertenschule Gesellschaftswissenschaften (GGG), combining graduate training of the five faculties to permit graduates structured training of high technical quality and excellent support.
