Vocational competencies for PhD-students

The GGG trains PhD-students in the preparation for research and teaching but also for careers outside the university. The existing offers of GGG?s SME network and of the mentoring format KaWirMento will have to be further developed as qualification and networking offers for PhD-students seeking careers outside the university. In addition, development lines for careers e. g. in university management, ministries and organizations, based on the mentoring format KaWirMento, are under discussion. The communication of good scientific practice at Göttingen University will be further strengthened, too. The GGG preemptively offers training for PhD-students and, in cooperation with the section for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, also for PhD supervisors. To ensure good scientific practice is furthermore a core issue of the activities of the graduate school, faculties and the Presidential Board.
