In the project, various parameters were examined for their suitability as indicators of metabolic imbalances (subacute rumen acidosis; subclinical ketosis) in dairy cows (research associates: M. Zschiesche, H. Jansen). The investigations were carried out on 10 farms in Lower Saxony. Cooperation partners in the project were the Chamber of Agriculture of Lower Saxony and the Institute of Animal Nutrition of the Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI).
