Master- und Bachelortheses
Thesis topics available in our working group are usually linked to an ongoing research project (see projects of team members). In our research, we mainly focus on questions of the distribution and the influences on the biodiversity of animals (especially insects, spiders, but also e.g. birds, sometimes plants) and their ecological functions.
This means that most theses involve field work and subsequent processing of samples (e.g. trap catches of arthropods). Prerequisites in these cases are interest and motivation to work on such topics and the willingness to familiarize yourself with working techniques for specific groups of organisms (and e.g. their identification).
Further topics at your initiative are possible and we are happy to discuss with you your concrete thesis ideas.
