University of Göttingen ranks first in Germany and 22nd worldwide in International Business research
The Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is the best German university in the "KUBS Worldwide Business Research Ranking". In a comparison of current research achievements in the field of "International Business & Strategy", it ranks 22nd in the period 2016 ("Season S") to 2018 ("Season F"). Within Germany, it is thus the leader, followed by the Technical University of Munich (rank 31 worldwide) and the Technical University of Berlin (rank 71 worldwide). The University of Leeds, which has its own Department for International Business with 14 professorships, leads the overall ranking in the field of international business and strategy. Other prominent universities, such as the University of Pennsylvania or Harvard University, rank 9th and 25th worldwide.
In its ranking, the Korea University Business School (KUBS) compares publications from 86 renowned business journals divided into seven different research areas and thus generates a database of around 40,000 publications. The "International Business & Strategy" section comprises ten different journals, such as the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of World Business and the Strategic Management Journal.
