Student Council
The student council and student groups represent students' interests and organise advice, O‑Phase and shared activities.

Overview
The student council (FSR) for Mathematics, Computer Science and Data Science represents all students of the faculty. The three student groups each represent only the students of one specific subject area. All students belong to a student council and, in the case of our faculty, also to one student group. The idea behind student representation is to create an interface between students and teaching staff.
The tasks of the FSR and the student groups include:
- Representing student interests in faculty and institute committees
- Organising and running the O‑Phase
- Organising regular general assemblies for students in the student council or student group
- Running additional social events and talks, such as the Christmas lecture, cookie seminars and game evenings
- Mediating between students and teaching staff in case of conflicts
Feel free to stop by, listen in and join. Information about meetings, email addresses, mailing lists, rooms and first-year guides can be found below.
