Prof. Seeber Member of the "Ständige wissenschaftliche Kommission der Kultusministerkonferenz"


Prof. Dr. Susan Seeber has recently been appointed as a member of the new "Ständige wissenschaftliche Kommission der Kultusministerkonferenz" (Standing Scientific Commission of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany). Prof. Seeber holds the Chair of Business Education and Human Resource Development at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Göttingen.

The commission is to advise the Länder (states) of the Federal Republic of Germany on issues concerning the further development of the education system and how to deal with its challenges. In particular, the focus is on ensuring and developing quality, improving the comparability of the education system, and developing medium- and longer-term strategies on educational issues relevant to the states as a whole.

The Kultusministerkonferenz (Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany) has appointed a total of 16 members to the independent commission. It consists of twelve members to be appointed and four permanent members. It will initially be set up for a limited period of six years and is expected to begin its work at the end of May.
