Why did you apply for the fellowship?
Stephan Klasen is one of the pioneers in expanding development economics research, particularly in Europe. I applied for the fellowship because I thought that the fellowship time will provide me with an excellent opportunity to meet, network and connect with researchers with mutual research interests. I also believe that working in a well-resourced, strong and healthy research environment will help me to develop and advance my research ideas better.

What would you like to achieve during the course of the fellowship?
During the fellowship time, I would like to develop my current research by presenting and discussing my work with colleagues and faculty at the department. I am confident that this will help me advance my current research and will pave the way for potential future collaborations.
Apart from academic learning, during the fellowship time, I hope to learn more about German history and culture.

Göttingen at first (and second) sight?
First: Beautiful, small and green city.
Second: Göttingen is one of the best places to experience a wide range of sports activities (hiking, biking, trekking, and swimming).

What do you do when you are not doing research?
Cooking and reading. I also enjoy biking and long walks in the forests.
