SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Amongst others, I am interested in glial cells, their interaction with neurons and their contribution to normal brain function. Glia make up most of the cells in the brain, but our understanding of their diverse functions still remains very limited. Therefore, I would like to participate in investigations about how these cells work together since this should provide further insight into e.g. the formation, function or reparation of the nervous system.
