Amalia Sa'ar is guest professor at the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute

The Göttingen Diversity Research Institute is delighted to welcome Prof. Amalia Sa’ar as guest professor in April 2023!

Amalia Sa’ar is associate professor and chair of the Anthropology Department at the University of Haifa. A cultural anthropologist, professor Sa’ar's research interests include: Gender politics among Palestinians in Israel; Diversity; Modest fashion and cosmopolitan subjectivities; Feminist perspectives of security; Women work and citizenship; Feminist theory and feminist movements.

During her stay at the University of Göttingen, Amalia Sa’ar will offer a public lecture on „Paradoxes of knowledge and positionality in critical diversity research, a feminist-activist perspective“ on 19 April 2023, 11 am – 1 pm (See abstract and details).
