Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) - Outgoing Students

Information and application deadlines for Blended Intensive Programs in which the University of Göttingen participates as a partner and for which students can apply can be found here.

You apply via the ENLIGHT Erasmus+ application portal - University of Göttingen of the International Office Göttingen. The subject-related selection is made by a committee of members of the faculty / subject area. The Göttingen International Department checks the formal admission requirements.

  • Personal and professional motivation
  • Grade point average
  • Language skills

For selected students

    Funding is provided by the Göttingen International Department in 6 steps:

  • You have successfully applied and been selected (see selection).
  • You will receive the link to the mobility portal and fill in the nomination online.
  • You upload all the necessary documents with the nomination (enrolment, learning agreement, other documents if applicable).
  • The Göttingen International Office will inform you of an appointment to sign the Grant Agreement.
  • The Göttingen International Office will arrange the payment of the first instalment. The payment is divided into 2 instalments: The first instalment of 75% before the start of the mobility; the second instalment of 25% after the end of the mobility and upon submission of all documents.
  • You submit the final documents via the Mobility Portal. In addition, an EU Survey must be completed. You will receive an automated email via the EU Beneficiary Module directly after the mobility.

What evidence must be provided?

  • The mandatory documents must be submitted before and after the mobility in order to receive mobility funding. The documents before the mobility include the current enrolment and the Learning Agreement. The documents after the mobility include the Certificate of Stay, the Transcript of Record and the submission of the EU Survey

What is funded?

    Eligible is the presence phase of the short-term physical mobility (min. 5 and max. 30 days).

  • 5 – 14 days x 79,00 € / day
  • 15 – 30 days x 56,00 € / day
  • In addition, subject to sufficient funds, travel days in the amount of

  • up to 2 travel days when using non-environmentally friendly means of transport
  • up to 6 travel days with proven use of environmentally friendly means of transport depending on the distance (Distance Calculator) and requirements
  • can be applied for and funded. Subsequent applications are excluded. The Göttingen International Department will carry out random checks. Proof must only be submitted on request.

    Additional funding or Social Top Up can be granted upon application, i.e. with the application (please specify if applicable), for

  • Mobile learners with a degree of disability (GdB) from 20
  • Mobile learners with a chronic illness
  • Mobile learners with accompanying child/children
  • Mobile learners who are first-time graduates, i.e. whose parents or carers do not have an academic degree
  • mobile learners who are employed and in employment subject to social security contributions (health, long-term care, pension and unemployment insurance) of more than € 450 and less than € 850 net per month.
  • The Social Top Up can be issued once for short-term mobility

  • in the range of 5-14 days in the amount of 100 €
  • in the ranfe of 15-30 days in the amount of 150 €
  • Subsequent application and authorisation is excluded.

    The Göttingen International Department will carry out random checks. Proof must only be submitted on request.

    The Learning Agreement is a compulsory document and the requirement of the EU education programme is authoritative. Unless otherwise provided, students are requested to use the Online Learning Agreement.

Who is signing my Learning Agreement?

  • You
  • The recognition officer on the part of the sending institution
  • The responsible person on the part of the host institution
  • With the three signatures, the Learning Agreement is complete and fulfils the requirements for eligibility.

    Unless otherwise provided for, students must organise their own travel arrangements. If necessary, the host institution will provide information about accommodation options, but a booking is not automatically made by the host institution.

How does the registration at the host institution take place?

    The partner institution informs the participating partners about the procedure. A nomination is first made via the sending institution (subject). Further steps are then (after request) the registration in a registration portal of the partner institution.

      As a participant in the Erasmus+ Programme, you are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient insurance cover during your physical stay at the partner university. This includes at least sufficient health insurance, liability insurance and, if applicable, accident insurance. The Göttingen International Department does not provide advice on insurance matters. Please inform yourself about the various benefits offered at an early stage.
