The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Göttingen has performed very well in the latest 2026 ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), with the majority of its assessed subjects - Business Administration, Economics and Business Information Systems - falling within the top and middle groups. Students in particular are very satisfied with their study situation overall and rate the Faculty above average in the student survey. The following criteria were rated very highly by the students: In the ‘Facts on Teaching and Research’ section, the Faculty of Business and Economics ranks among the top performers in each of the following criteria: Business Administration Economics Business Information Systems The CHE University Ranking takes into account data on study programmes, teaching, facilities and research, as well as the results of surveys of students and lecturers at the respective universities. The first survey primarily targeted undergraduate students. The survey of postgraduate students will take place in the summer semester of 2026; according to the CHE, the results are due to be published in autumn/winter 2026. Furthermore, there is no definitive ranking list of the participating universities; instead, the CHE classifies them into three groups (top, middle and bottom) based on indicators and criteria it has developed itself. The results of the student survey on the general study situation are presented on a 5-star scale.
