The conference is organized by Dr. Martin Brecher, Dr. Dr. Philipp-Alexander Hirsch and Prof. Dr. Bernd Ludwig. Martin Brecher is faculty member at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Mannheim. His research interests include Kant, early-modern natural law theories, and moral and legal philosophy in general. Philipp-Alexander Hirsch is principal researcher at the Max-Planck-Intitute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law in Freiburg and lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Göttingen. He works on criminal law, legal and political philosophy as well as early-modern philosophy, especially Kant. Bernd Ludwig is professor of philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Göttingen. His areas of specialization include Kant, Hobbes and early-modern philosophy more generally.
