    The faculty offers open admission bachelor's programmes. Our bachelor’s programmes require German language skills.

    Mathematics for Business Module


    As part of the basic mathematics course, key content from upper (German) secondary school is reviewed in a concise manner. In particular, relevant content from the following areas of school mathematics is revisited in the pre-maths course ("Vorkurs Mathematik"):



    • Calculating with fractions and powers, roots and logarithms

    • Solving equations with one variable and systems of equations with two variables

    • Functions and derivatives (differential calculus)



    In the Mathematics for Business module ("Mathematik für Wirtschaftswissenschaften"), this content is then deepened and extended through a lecture, homework and small study groups - as well as optional mathematics coaching. We therefore do not require good grades in mathematics or participation in an advanced course. Only the willingness to engage with mathematical content and its application to the field of economics is a central prerequisite for successfully completing the basic training in mathematics and statistics.








  • Master’s programmes




    For our master’s programmes, you apply directly to the Faculty of Business and Economics. During the application periods, we activate an online application form on the websites of the individual degree programmes.


    The following master’s programmes are open admission programmes and require German language skills:



    • Master of Science in Management

    • Master of Science in Finance, Accounting, and Taxes

    • Master of Science in Business Information Systems

    • Master of Education in Business and Human Resource Education



    The following master's programmes are subject to limited admission and do not require German language skills. You can study the Master of Arts in History of Global Markets in both German and English:



    • Master of Science in International Economics

    • Master of Science in Development Economics

    • Master of Science in Applied Statistics

    • Master of Arts in History of Global Markets



    In general, the application deadlines for our master’s programmes are:

    • 1 April to 15 May of a year (start of studies in the winter semester (October))

    • Please note that due to the lifting of admission restrictions for the 2025/26 winter semester, the application deadline for the following Master's programmes has been extended to 30 September 2025: Master of Science in Management; Master of Science in Finance, Accounting, and Taxes; Master of Science in Business Information Systems; Master of Education in Business and Human Resource Education.

    • 1 October to 15 November of a year (start of studies in the summer semester (April))

    • Please note that due to the lifting of admission restrictions for the 2026 summer semester, the application deadline for the following Master's programmes has been extended to 31 March 2026: Master of Science in Finance, Accounting, and Taxes; Master of Science in Business Information Systems; Master of Education in Business and Human Resource Education.



    Exceptions:


    The Master of Science in Development Economics, the Master of Science in Applied Statistics and the Master of Science in Management only start in the winter semester.



    The following application deadlines apply to the Master of Science in Development Economics and to the Master of Science in Applied Statistics:



    • Application period for citizens from the EU/EEA (European Economic Area) OR applicants with a bachelor’s degree from an EU/EEA country beginning in the winter semester: 1 April to 15 May of the same calendar year

    • Application period for citizens from non-EU/non-EEA (European Economic Area) countries AND a bachelor’s degree from outside an EU/EEA country beginning in the winter semester: 1 October to 15 November of the previous calendar year
