Colombia, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá and Cali

Dear Students,

"Where cosmopolitan meets colonial"

Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, lies on a plateau of the Andes about 2600 meters above sea level, and is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in South America. The city combines a modern and multicultural atmosphere with traditional architecture and a variety of museums. Additionally, given its proximity to the equator, spring temperatures are constant throughout the year.

If you are interested in spending a semester abroad, then don't miss out on this unique opportunity to improve your Spanish skills in one of Latin America's most interesting capital cities. Applications can be directly accessed at our partner universities "Universidad de Los Andes" or "Pontificia Universidad Javeriana". Bogotá is the perfect destination for those looking to improve their language skills, as it has the most coherent Spanish pronunciation in the entire Latin American region.

Founded in 1963, the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana is known as one of the most prestigious private universities in the country. The university offers a comprehensive range of courses, including approximately 193 academic study programmes, ensuring that bachelor and master students have plenty of interesting options. In total, the University has 18 faculties and 14 institutes, including the Development Policy Institute (IPD). The campus is centrally located near the citys parks and includes a university hospital, numerous restaurants and canteens and a very well equipped sports centre. The university also offers a number of cultural events throughout the year.
