Dates and Deadlines

Semester Dates: The summer semester begins in April and ends in September; the winter semester begins in October and ends in March. Lectures usually start a few weeks after the semester begins. Information on the dates of the current semester as well as dates of past and future semesters can be found here.

Application/Enrollment in the BA: The BA program at our institute is admission free (=no numerus clausus). Enrollment takes place centrally at the university. The deadline for enrolling in the 1st semester in the winter semester is always September 30. You can find more details here. If you are already studying at the University of Göttingen and are interested in changing your program to KA/EE, it may be possible to take your first courses in the summer semester. Please contact the student advisory service.

Erasmus:All dates and deadlines concerning a stay abroad with the Erasmus+ program can be found here.

Exams: Usually, all students receive a timely email reminder about exam registration. In addition, all registration and withdrawal deadlines for exams can be viewed on the statistics portal Flexstat.

BA Thesis: The bachelor thesis can be registered at any time. Starting from the time of registration, students have 12 weeks to work on their thesis. Further information on the bachelor thesis can be found here.
