Restriction for multiple external module package à 18 Credits:

At least 20 Credits are to be verified in Archaeology of the Classical or Byzantine World or in other archaeological oriented disciplines with focus on Early Christian, late antique or Byzantine subjects.

Restriction for multiple external module package à 36 Credits:
At least 40 Credits are to be verified in Archaeology of the Classical or Byzantine World or in other archaeological oriented disciplines with focus on Early Christian, late antique or Byzantine subjects.

Restriction for Major:

Bachelor certificate in Christian Archaeology / Byzantine Art History or in a professional closely related study path is required. At least 50 C are to be verified in Christian Archaeology or Byzantine Art History or in other archaeological oriented disciplines (Classical Archaeology, Egyptology and Coptic studies, Ancient Cultures, Pre- and Early History, History, Greek Philology / Greek, Byzantine studies, Latin Philology / Latin, Latin Philology of the Middle Ages and modern times, Philosophy, Art History, Building History, Religious studies), including at least 25 C in Christian / Late Antique / Byzantine Archaeology / Art History. If you haven't finished your bachelor's degree at the time of application, but can prove 150 C in a bachelor's degree, you can still apply for the master's degree.

Major: 42 C
One multiple external module package (à 36 C) OR 2 multiple external module packages (à 18 C)
Area of professionalisation: 12 C
Master's thesis: 30 C

Linguistic requirements:
For the application for the master's thesis you need knowledge in the amount of the intermediate Latin certificate and basic knowledge of ancient Greek.

Main Curriculum in the amount of 42 C:
M.CAB.10a: Städte und Regionen (14 C, 4 SWS)
M.CAB.20a: Interpretation und Präsentation (14 C, 6 SWS)
M.CAB.30a: Synthese (14 C, 6 SWS)

Master's thesis:
For the registration of the master's thesis at least 70 C are required, including 42 C of the major as well as knowledge in the amount of the intermediate Latin certificate and basic knowledge of ancient Greek. The processing time takes 6 months and the length is within 80 to 100 pages.
