The Research Department provides information on national, european and other international funding programmes. We support you e.g. in search of appropriate funding sources for your research idea, in applying for university start-up funding, in university committees and we assist you with on-site reviews. Moreover, the Research Department oversees the Research Committee of the Senate and the Ethics Committee of the University of Göttingen.
Generally, a completed doctorate is a precondition to apply for third party funding from funding authorities in the area of research. The Office of Student Affairs provides general information on earning a doctoral degree at the University of Göttingen. The Göttingen graduate schools provide information on possibilities to fund doctoral studies on their respective web pages.
