Schedule:
The course will take place on 24th of February, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on 25th of February, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m..
In the afternoon session of the first day you have the time to prepare the practical exercises that are part of the course and that every participant will do on their own. They are, however, not mandatory.

This course gives an overview over some core principles of statistics. It is best suited for beginners and those who would like to refresh their knowledge about statistics for their PhD.
The course will cover the following topics:

  • Overview on data formats
  • Summary statistics
  • Basic graphical visualization
  • The idea of statistical inference
  • Statistical testing and analysis of variance (ANOVA)



Credits: 0 Credits (Participants of both days will receive a certificate of attendance if requested.)
