In this workshop, you will learn how to use the power of small habits and a strong mindset for more focus, energy, and confidence in your PhD journey.

In the first part, you will discover how habits work and how you can use evidence-based mini-interventions to integrate “small healthy habits” into your daily life – even when time and energy are limited. You will develop your personal "habit plan" to support you in being more balanced, focused, and energetic in the long term.

In the second part, you will take a closer look at your inner voices and beliefs: What strengthens you – and what holds you back? You will get to know models of self-efficacy and so-called "inner saboteurs" (such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, or hyper-achievement) and try out simple exercises that help you consciously shift your mindset in a direction that supports you in your PhD and makes you more confident instead of limiting you.

After the workshop, you will…

  • understand how healthy habits are formed and how to use them for more focus and energy in your PhD,
  • have identified your personal habit plan to form or strengthen habits that fit you and your situation,
  • be able to recognize your own limiting beliefs and question them constructively,
  • have specific techniques to strengthen your confidence and sense of self-efficacy.
