Entrepreneurship for Doctoral Candidates and Post-Docs
Entrepreneurship for Doctoral Candidates and Post-Docs
The workshop aims at providing a first comprehensive introduction
into entrepreneurial thinking and acting. The participants will get theoretical
and historic information on entrepreneurship in germany, especially regarding
entrepreneurial activities in higher education institutions. Afterwards, an
interdisciplinary workshop follows where the particants learn (in a highly
action oriented approach), how entrepreneurs can use their networks for
entrepreneurial success, how ideas can be generated and how these ideas can be
turned into business concepts. The students will work with different business
modelling tools to understand how to approach an idea to make it successful and
how innovative financing models can help building a sustainable project (or
busines). At the end, the participants will get the chance to bring their
knowledge into reality by playing a startup simulation game that was invented
by the workshop hosts. After the workshop, the participants will be able to
generate their own ideas in their specific fields and build a sustainable
project or business model.
