Welcome to the homepage of the Chair of Finance at Georg August University of Göttingen. The chair offers courses
in basic finance as well as in the areas of financial markets, corporate finance, and financial institutions.



The chair's main areas of research are financial risk management, the valuation of financial instruments, asset management, and corporate governance issues.

New centralized allocation of bachelor’s theses


Starting in the 2025/26 winter semester, all supervision places for bachelor's theses at the professorships of Business Administration, Computer Science, and Industrial Engineering and Management will be allocated via a central procedure (exception: bachelor's theses with Prof. Schumann – if you are interested, please contact the professorship directly).
