The startup competition is open to all students, staff, and alumni of the University of Göttingen, HAWK Göttingen/Holzminden/Hildesheim, PFH Göttingen, TU Clausthal and the Göttingen Campus.

Every field of study is welcome to participate in the Startup Competition LIFT-OFF.

No, the idea doesn't have to be fully developed, but you do need an idea to register. Part of the LIFT-OFF program is to work out and develop an idea through workshops, individual consultations and milestones. The Startup Competition LIFT-OFF is aimed at both already established teams and those interested in starting a business.

It is generally possible to partake in the Startup Competition LIFT-OFF again with a different idea. Participating with the same startup idea is only possible under the condition that the startup idea has been further developed in the meantime and has not already been presented in the final (award ceremony).

A short description of 1-2 sentences is perfectly fine. The application will not be evaluated and only serves to register your participation in the Startup Competition LIFT-OFF.

The competition includes a series of workshops, consulting sessions, milestones, as well as a jury session and the final event/award ceremony. For more information, please click here.

No, the submission of the first milestone is considered a condition to continue your participation in the competition.

Yes. If you have participated in the competition thus far, we will allow you to continue participating in the workshops.
