Who can participate?

The startup competition is open to all students, staff, and alumni of the University of Göttingen and the Göttingen Campus, as well as the partner institutions of the South Lower Saxony Innovation Campus (SNIC).

Which fields of study can participate?

Every field of study is welcome to participate in the Startup Competition LIFT-OFF.

Can I register alone?

Yes, both individuals and teams can take part in LIFT-OFF.

Do all team members have to come from the eligible organisations?

No, but at least one person needs to come from one of the eligible organisations.

Do I already have to have a well-developed start-up idea?

No, the idea doesn't have to be fully developed, but you do need an idea to register. Part of the LIFT-OFF program is to work out and develop an idea through workshops, individual consultations and milestones. The Startup Competition LIFT-OFF is aimed at both already established teams and those interested in starting a business.

How long should the description of my idea in the application be?

A short description is perfectly fine. The application will not be evaluated and only serves to register your participation in the LIFT-OFF startup competition.

How does the competition work?

The competition includes a series of workshops, consulting sessions, milestones, as well as a jury session and the final event/award ceremony. For more information, please click here.
