Application:

• Seminar places are allocated through the central allocation platform.


• Further information about the application through the central seminar application procedure can be found here.


• You are not able to participate if you already participated in a similar bachelor seminar of the module B.WIWI-WIN.0027.
  


• For participation, you have to be available on several dates during the semester, such as the kick-off meeting, the workshop, and the final presentation. No exceptions (e.g., study term abroad, other appointments, holidays, etc.) except for emergencies will be permitted
  

Applications after the deadline:




• If you missed the deadline for seminar enrollment, you can usually still participate in the module.


• You can register for the module yourself on StudIP as soon as the course becomes available at the beginning of the semester. The link to the course can be found here.


• Seminar enrollment is prioritized:




• First, students who enrolled before the deadline are considered.


• Then, students who register later via StudIP may be accepted if spots are still available.




• Note: No separate registration or confirmation via email is required.


• If you have any questions, please come and talk to us in person during the first session.













Assignment:




• Topics and methods will be presented in the kick-off meeting and selected via prioritization (top 1-3) usually within 48 hours afterward.
  


• Each seminar paper will be prepared by a group of usually up to 3 students (max. 5); the size of the group depends on the topic, preferences, applications, and available capacities (e.g., time slots).
  


• Groups will be chosen according to the selected prioritization. Priorities for groups (e.g., working with friends) will be considered.
  


• The application to a topic will mean the participation in the course is binding.


• Should some of the initially participating students drop out of the course within the defined timeframe (about 48 hours), new participants can join through the waiting list.



• We are interested in providing you with a variety of current topics that match your personal taste. Potential topics can be from the following areas:
  
  Artificial Intelligence, Human-AI Collaboration, Algorithmic Management, Data-based Business, E-Commerce, Digital Platforms and Transformation, Digital Sustainability and Responsibility, Digital Well-Being and Self-Tracking, User Interfaces and Analytics, Personal Use of IT.
  


• The submission of the draft version of the paper prior to the final presentation is mandatory. However, it will not be graded. The paper may be further refined after the draft submission and prior to the final deadline.
