Recognition for Niklas Dreymann and Co-Authors at the Academy of Management (AOM) 2024 Annual Meeting


The paper "Temporal Patterns of Ventures’ Alliance Portfolio Formation & Innovation: A Configurational Approach," authored by Niklas Dreymann, Suleika Bort, Indre Maurer, and Mark Ebers, was recognized by the reviewers of the Strategy Division (STR) at the Academy of Management (AOM) 2024 Annual Meeting in Chicago as one of the best submitted papers. It was included in the Best Paper Proceedings (Top 10% of all accepted papers) and considered for a Best Paper Award in the division. The AOM Annual Meeting is one of the largest and most prestigious events in management research.

In their research, the authors examine how temporal patterns of alliance portfolio formation in new ventures are linked to their innovation performance. Through an analysis of 53 new pharmaceutical biotechnology ventures, the study reveals how different temporal configurations of alliance portfolio formation in distinct developmental stages link to high innovation outcomes.
