Research Topics:
  • Spatial analysis of forest structure and ecosystem patterns
  • Application of UAV, LiDAR, and satellite data in forest research

Projekt
My research in Phase 2 of the BETA-FOR focuses on how silvicultural measures that enhance structural heterogeneity influence forest structural complexity across spatial scales and how these changes affect the stress responses of individual trees in managed forest landscapes. My work involves LiDAR-based forest structure analysis, competition modelling, dendrochronological methods, and carbon isotope analyses to investigate tree vitality, drought stress, and gap-size effects following treatments.
