Checklist required documents

• 1. Application form:
  Complete and signed.



• 2. Passport-size photograph
  (Please indicate your name on the back)



• 3. Copy of your passport



• 4. Proof of proficiency in English:
  Applicants whose native language is not English are asked to submit a proof of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, GRE Scores).
  Accepted language certificates


• 5. Research proposal: (about 2 pages)
  Research projects invariably require funding. It will be seen as an important sign of competence and initiative if the research proposal required with the application to IPAG is based on sound arrangements for cooperation and funding.


• 6. Letter of acceptance from your PhD Supervisor
  The central task of any Ph.D. thesis is the research and the resulting thesis. The research requires orientation of the candidate by a supervisory committee and coordination of the research project by a principal supervisor. This research coordination is essential.


• 7. Reference Letters:
  Letters of two referees who are able to evaluate your personality, academic experience, and intellectual merit (preferably mailed directly from the referees to the admission office). The use of the attached reference report form is recommended.



• 8.Official Academic Transcripts:
  Transcripts in English or German from all colleges/universities attended (one certified copy and one regular copy of each document, if you have not completed your Master yet you can file this Transcript later.



• 9. Academic diplomas:
  Copies of your high school diploma and of further academic diplomas, if applicable (in English or German; one certified copy and one regular copy of each document).



• 10. Copy of your publications: if done (not more than three).
