Göttingen Campus QPLUS is supposed to facilitate freedom for the design of courses of studies and the development of innovative teaching and learning concepts. Teachers can be released from their teaching duties to plan and execute innovative teaching projects. Especially those teaching projects, which implement measures to reduce the dropout rate, further development and redesign of courses of studies, or elements of research-oriented teaching and learning, should be supported.

The development of research-oriented teaching and learning in fundamental undergraduate studies should be further supported through Göttingen Campus QPLUS. The university’s aim of early placement of research-oriented teaching is to strengthen the relationships between students and teachers as well as higher motivation and fascination of students for their subjects.

Since new media play a bigger and bigger role within innovative knowledge acquisition and mediation, appropriate framework conditions for new medial forms of mediation should be put into place under Göttingen Campus QPLUS. Teachers can get support with the execution of their teaching projects from student E-Assistants for example. The aspirations to enhance the quality of teaching by using digital media didactically funded are extended by eCULT, a project of universities in Lower Saxony.
