English-language Master´s Program at the Faculty of Mathematics

In 1997, the Faculty of Mathematics at Georg-August University of Göttingen introduced the 'International Mathematics/Master-Plus Program'. It is geared toward specially qualified graduates of international institutions of higher education who hold a Bachelor´s degree in mathematics (with distinction) or have earned a comparable degree. The four-semester course finds its conclusion in a Master´s exam. A three-year Ph.D. program may be entered into after the completion of the Master´s.
The course focuses on analysis, algebra, geometry, applied mathematics, and computer science - twenty hours a week. All mandatory courses are taught in English. Lecture and seminar classes are combined with small tutorial groups which make intensive work easy.
Intensive academic and personal mentoring is available to all participants. German-language classes may be attended free of charge. This course is sponsored by the DAAD.
