Warm welcome ...

Every realisation begins with the senses. (Leonardo da Vinci)
The world is challenged when it comes to food. More food and sustainable production are needed. At the Laboratory for Sensory Analysis and Consumer Research of the Faculty of Agriculture at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, we carry out research and educational activities that help to solve challenges in relation to food. Since 2017, the senslab has been combing sensory science from the Department of Animal Sciences , Department of Crop Sciences and Agribusiness of the Faculty of Agriculture. The senslab combines agricultural sciences with analytical and hedonic sensory analyses and we introduce our latest research in the training of our students. Our projects are not limited to product quality and human sensory perception. Our aim is to become an international research and training center for students who want to focus on food and establish a link between sustainable and resource saving agricultural production, culinary art and food culture with an impact for consumers, industry and society.
